Every week, I will be conducting a “Where Are They Now” for players who have virtually disappeared from the map. They’re still in the league, but not really. They just ride the pine until you can make paper from all the splinters they have in their butt. Our inaugural member into this sacred club is none other than. . . .

Mighty Mouse himself, Damon Stoudamire! Stoudamire was drafted seventh overall in 1995 by the Raptors. Coming out of the point guard factory known as Arizona, expectations were high. Luckily, Stoudamire lived up to them. He had his best season during 96-97, when he averaged 20 points and 9 dimes. After being traded in 98 to the Blazers, his productivity waned, but that was merely because he was on a time loaded with talent. In 2001, his Blazers took the Lakers to 7 games in the Western Conference finals, one of the best series in history, in my humble opinion. The Blazers were never able to recapture the glory of that season, and in 2005, Stoudamire was traded to Memphis

This season, Stoudamire is averaging 7 points and 4 dimes, but is playing behind OSU standout (and overall fourth pick) Mike Conley Jr. and surprise hooper Kyle Lowry. It’s apparent that the Grizz have no intentions of really relying on Stoudamire because both Lowry and Conly Jr. have shown that they can handle the toughest position in the league. Sorry Mighty Mouse, but it was fun while it lasted!

Sixers -96
@ Toronto – 109
Looks like another rebuilding season for the Sixers, as they dropped to 14-22 with this loss. Chris Bosh didn’t show up on the boards, recording ONE rebound (!!). Huh? Anthony Parker chipped in 22 for the Raptors, who improved to 18-17. After HeckleGate, they needed this win. Sixers squeezed 18 out of Willie Green, who also went 1-5 from long. Give it up, buddy.

Cavs – 79
@ Hawks – 87
All the Cavs execpt ‘Bron should’ve just stayed home for this one because nobody was hoopin. Lebron dropped 31, 10, and 6. Yea, More than a third of their points. He really need somebody to play with him or he’s gonna see how much of a fluke that finals appearance was REALLY soon. Joe Johnson dropped 29 in a winning effort. Al Horford showed why he was the best pick from last year’s Florida team with 10 points and 15 boards.

Bobcats – 95
@ Celtics – 83
WTF?!?!?!?!??! Celtics lost at home?! TO THE BOBCATS!?!? The Bobcats were 1-11 on the road, and Boston. . . You know about Boston. Jason Richardson showed up to hoop, giving the Celtics 34 and 9 boards. Yea, he’s on the fantasy team! Boston dropped to 29-4. Somehow, KG only had 8 boards, 5 of which were offensive. It don’t matter, though. I still got Boston goin 73 – 9. Holla @ me. Ray Allen didn’t play.

Sonics – 88
@ Nets – 99
Jason Kidd didn’t get another triple double, but he did get the win. Good enough for me. Somebody needs to get my boy Kevin Durant a shooting coach ASAP, because last I checked, he was shooting under 40%, and tonight he went 5 – 14 for 15 points. Not gonna get it done, buddy. RJ chipped in 28, along w/ 18 from Vince. Johan Petro led the Sonics off the bench with 22.

Rockets – 101
@ Knicks – 92
Sometimes, Yao Ming just surprises me. Tonight is a perfect example. 36 and 11 from my man Yao while his little sister Tracy rode the bench. I swear he’s made out of marshmallows! And does Zeke still coach the Knicks? They dropped to 9 – 25 behind 21 from Jamal Crawford and a double double of 10 and 11 from Zach Randolph. Looks like another stinky season, New Yorkers.

Heat – 92
@ Bucks – 98
What a difference a few years make, huh!? D Wade is playing well, but Shaq playing like an aged Cedric Ceballos. . . . when he does play! It’s just a general bad look! D Wade pumped in 34 (n/h), and the Heat got 23 out of Jason Williams. Is it just me, or does anybody else miss when he played like White Chocolate? Mo Williams had 35 for the Bucks, who look like they may be able to compete for a spot in the playoffs down the stretch.

Lakers – 109
@ Hornets – 80
I bet Kobe is sitting in the crib, reading my blog, and just laughing. People thought he was crazy we he refused to let management get rid of Andrew Bynum, and now look at him. He had 17 and 9 in just under 30 minutes. . . . oh yea, he shot 80% from the field, too. Yup. Kobe had 19. Everybody but CP (35, 5 dimes) and David West (19, 9 boards) stayed home for New Orleans.

Pistons – 86
@ Mavs – 102
MY BOYS! My Mavs are playing like they want it again, beating the Pistons behind 23 and 9 from Dirk. The balanecd scoring attack didnt cut it for Detroit this time, with three players scoring in double figures: Rip (18), Chauncey (16). . . and Rodney Stuckey(10)!!! Yea, Detroit, take that L.

Pacers – 122
@ Suns – 129
Steve Nash sat out the final 22 minutes with stomach flu, and the Suns rallied back from 14 down to beat the Pacers behind Raja Bell’s 27. I remember when he played for the Sixers in the Finals in 2001. I wish he still played for them! Amare (25 and 11) and the Matrix (23 and 12) played well, and proved the can do it without the best PG in the league. Indiana, which dropped to 16-21, were led by Danny Granger and Shawne Wiliams, who both had 22.

Warriors – 91
@ Blazers – 109
GREG ODEN WHO?!?!?! Portland playing like the want one of those top four playoff spots now! They’re sitting on top of the Northwest Division at 22-13, and if they playoffs started today, they’d have a 5 seed. Dangerous. Steve Blake had 24, going 5-6 from beyond. Brandon Roy had 8, 8, and 8. To be fair, Baron Davis stayed home, scoring 4 points in 14 minutes. Matt Barnes had 14.

Magic – 113
@ Clippers – 106
Dwight Howard is a man amongst boys. Basically. 17 and 17 is just another day at the factory. The ball goes in, the points come out. Hedo chipped in 28, 7, and 7 as the Magic improved to 23-14. Without Elton Brand, the Clippers are back to their stinky ways, dropping to 10-22, even though Maggette went for 27. Maybe he need to stay out of Common’s videos and get to practice!
